Hello everyone.

Jo found me on Facebook and pointed me in the direction of this forum and I thought I would say hello. I have a 3 yr old rescue whippet/lab cross called Poppy. She's basically a fat whippet but runs like the wind. I've also just started up as a pro dog walker/pet sitter so I am constantly surrounded by various canines. I'm loving my new job lots but I'm having the occasionally comical disasters which I will share with you all. Feel free to drop by my Facebook page and have a natter too. https://www.facebook.com/DogWalkingCheshire

Okay,I've just tried to upload a picture of Poppy but it failed. There are a few here http://doggydash.co.uk/about-me/meet-poppy/ though.

I love miniature schnauzers, I've just started walking one. I've only just started dog walking and sitting and I'm loving it already. Plus, I've lost a fair few pounds with all the extra walking :)

Ahhhh bless her, shes lovely . Love the baby pic too hearts

I lost a fair bit of weight when I got Sparkle as she was quite high maintenance when younger so I walked...a lot! however with Rolo only being tiny at the moment, I am limited what walking I can do,,,so the weight is creeping back on sadwithtissues well, and drinking the odd glass of red wine and the odd bar of chocolate (who am I kidding, odd!) doesnt help naughtynaughty

Ah, my daughter is called Indi! You're Indi looks gorgeous.

Sparkling Lass, eat the chocolate and drink the wine, your pup will soon be big enough to be driving you potty and making you walk the hind legs off him.

I like your attitude Kelly!!!! thumbsup
We are used to a good 2 1/2 a day exercise but at the moment its about an hour, so quite a drop. He does do very well though and doesnt like being picked up when I am out walking any more when I think hes done enough, so I have had to cut the walks down a bit. Sparkle gets a bit frustrated on lead walks as she is used to walking at a brisk pace, but obviously at the minute its very slow so she is pulling to go forward and he is not keen on built up or busy areas so lead walking is hard work! Hi Michelle,

I bet Honey squishes you when she gets on your knee for a cuddle. Just got back from Kelsall Country Show in Cheshire where I've been helping the Erin Hound team raise money for their rescue greyhounds and lurchers. I'm super tired, super hot and super sunburnt!

Not many pictures taken to be honest. It was too hot to be bothered. I have a photo of Rudi here http://doggydash.co.uk/2011/06/26/rudi/ He is the newest rescue for Erin Hounds. I totally fell in love with him, he is adorable and behaved exceptionally but I managed to resist and I'm still a one dog home :)

Thats one good looking boy! how did you resist!!! That coat looks fab, I take it its one that keeps them cool? I've seen other variations of those on another website, cant remember which one now, but you wet them if I remember right.

That coat reflects the sun because the black coated dogs suffer greatly in weather like today. I think it costs £7 - 10 on one of the greyhound rescue websites. But I assume you can buy them in different sizes. We kept having to hose down the dogs today and cover them in wet towels.

Rudi is absolutely massive. Incredibly handsome and very affectionate. They've only had him a week and he behaved so well.
